Working with wildlife pocket book (C613)

This pocket book (sold in packs of 20) provide site operatives and managers with concise, practical advice about some of the more significant wildlife species that may be found on construction sites in the United Kingdom. For each of the species or wildlife groups covered, the pocket book gives hints on identification, describes where and when they may be found, and explains what to do when they are discovered on site. As well as helping everyone on site comply with the law, the guidance should encourage greater awareness and implementation of environmental good practice and also points to some of the health and safety implications of working with wildlife.

More detailed guidance and training solutions are available in CIRIA's forthcoming title 'Working with wildlife:guidance for the construction industry (C691)'.

Keywords: environmental good practice, sustainable construction, site management, biodiversity.
