Construction Arbitration:

Theory and Practical Tips

(2nd March 2022)

The CPD course will be delivered on the web using Zoom.

Thanks to the incorporation of the arbitration clause into many standard construction contract forms, arbitration is a widely adopted method for resolving disputes in construction projects in Hong Kong in lieu of court litigation,

This course is targeted to deliver to the audience the necessary legal and procedural background on how arbitration proceedings are conducted, with a comparison of its advantages and disadvantages against court litigation.

At the same time, based on the experiences of the speakers as arbitration practitioners, the practical aspects involved in arbitration proceedings such as appointment of arbitrator, choice of legal representative, and how costs are to be controlled are discussed.
