Carbon neutrality is a common target of many nations as a response to climate change. Among others, Mainland China takes the lead in implementing policies to achieve carbon neutrality by 2060. In parallel, the Hong Kong SAR Government launches a series of policies and measures under the Climate Action Plan with a view to achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. Moreover, there is global commitment of the engineering sector on zero-carbon buildings and infrastructures, leading to the development of various frameworks and standards for carbon management in engineering projects.
This one-day web continuing professional development (Web-CPD) course aims to introduce how the global trend of carbon neutrality be realized through engineering projects. You will get a comprehensive picture on the definitions, frameworks and standards of carbon neutrality and more importantly how to put these concepts into practices with reference to overseas and local case studies. This course is designed for engineering practitioners of all levels and disciplines to acquire up-to-date and hands-on knowledge on the scopes and practices of carbon neutral engineering. It will cover the following essential issues of carbon neutral engineering:

Overseas and local practices with case studies
