Ir Raymond Wai-man Wong has 45 years of experience in academia and the construction industry. Besides serving on the civil and architectural engineering faculty at The City University of Hong Kong, Raymond is also an active independent researcher, working on his own resources. His research mainly focuses on large-scale construction and infrastructure projects, international heritage studies, urban studies, and China development studies.
He has followed and studied most major civil engineering and building projects in Hong Kong, as well as numerous similar projects in mainland China, since the 1990s. During these years, he has developed a substantial archive to keep the records of the construction projects he has studied. He has been sharing his experience with the construction and engineering communities to contribute to the profession that he has pursued and enjoyed for over 40 years.
