Joanne Kwan is an award-winning Senior Research Manager and Sustainable Land Reuse Programme Lead at CIRIA with over 15 years of experience in developing and managing good practice for the construction industry. Joanne has a wide interest and experience in dealing with environmental issues relating to construction projects and responsible for over 50 good practice guidance documents. 

Joanne has a Master's degree in Environmental Control and Pollution and is a Chartered Chemist, a Chartered Environmentalist, a Fellow of the Institute of Engineering and Technology, a Fellow of the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management, a Visiting Lecturer of Cardiff University, and an external examiner of Cambridge University.
