Environmental compliance is not an option but one of the key performance indicators of the construction industry. With the heightened awareness and expectation of the community together with strengthened statutory control on environmental quality, the construction sector is spending more resources and effort in meeting statutory requirements for better environmental performance. Under the context of corporate social responsibility, leading engineering companies even go beyond compliance.

This  one-day  continuing  professional  development  (CPD)  course  is  designed  to enable engineering practitioners, both at professional and technical levels, to acquire up-to-date and hands-on knowledge on the legislative requirements of the five (5) major environmental legislations of Hong Kong, i.e.:

Apart from regulatory aspects, the licensing and permitting requirements of these ordinances and effective pollution control practices will be discussed. Case studies will also be presented to illustrate the regulatory control regime of these legislations.
