Ir Dr. Augustus Y.F. Lee

Ir Dr. Augustus Y.F. Lee is a consultant of RMIT of Melbourne, Australia. He has extensive experience in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses for VTC, HKU, CUHK and overseas universities. His MSc, MPhil and PhD were awarded by HKUST, Swansea University, U.K.; and RMIT, Australia, respectively. He has also provided SUA and photogrammetry training for VTC since 2018. His trainees include members of the public, RPSs, RPEs and university staff.

Ir Lee is a multi-disciplinary professional ranging from Chartered Engineer to Chartered Surveyor and to Certified CIC BIM Manager. He has served the Structures Expert Panel of ICE since 2017. He was also a corresponding member in the BIM Panel and the Safety, Health and Wellbeing Panel of IStructE. In addition to being a Chartered Professional Reviewer (CPR) of ICE, he is also the only CPR of CICES in HK to recommend award of CEng to surveyors on behalf of the UK Engineering Council. Ir Lee has wide research interests including finite element analysis, concrete technology, and BIM & GIS applications. He was a speaker in the Teaching and Learning Expo 2021 on the topic of GIS. He has contributed to the revision of Structures Design Manual for Highways and Railways of the Highways Department, HKSAR Government, BIM Handbook of IStructE, and Intelligent Building Index Manual of the Asian Institution of Intelligent Buildings. He has successfully built models of MiC for 4- to 40-storey buildings.
