Good Practices for Environmental and Safe Construction Sites - 16th September 2020 (Web-CPD course)

The CPD course will be delivered on the web using Zoom.

Environmental and safety impacts will arise at any construction projects, irrespective of the location, size or nature of the development, and have the potential to affect the immediate neighbor, and also the natural and built environment. These will affect the programming of the projects which may mean additional cost and time. Impacts can take many forms, such as noise or pollution, and can affect surrounding flora and fauna and the well-being of the staff working on the construction sites

The task of preventing impacts or minimizing the risk of potential impacts is increasingly becoming the responsibility of resident site staff. This greater accountability at site level demands higher standards of environmental and safety awareness and education of all resident site staff.

This CPD course will draw on good practice not only from Hong Kong projects but also from other countries. It will include a number of case studies around the world, demonstrating new and innovative approaches. It will also highlight guidance developed from the 4th edition of CIRIA's Environmental good practice on site guide (CIRIA report C741).

A CPD course of similar nature was first offered by the instructor in December 2016. If you have encountered some new controversial issues which you would like the instructors to address, please feel free to email them to us at support@adv-technovation.com.
